HOLDEN – Fields Pond Audubon Center is offering programs in the Discovery Room for families from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays, starting Jan. 8 in the Discovery Room. The cost is $8/Maine Audubon member family and $10/nonmember family.
The Winter Session of Nature Time for parents with children ages 2 to 4 starting from 10-11 a.m. Thursdays, starting Jan. 13. for a 7 week session, the cost is $32/member of Maine Audubon and $38/nonmember. Advance registration is required, please call 989-2591.
The nature center will offer Yoga and a Nature Adventure for Families from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 with Holly Twining and her son, Zane. Then hit the outdoors for a brisk nature walk. The cost is $10 per family. Advance registration is required, please call 989-2591.
Join Kevin Simon and Steve Coghlan, UMaine researchers, for Creatures Underneath from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22 on the ice of Fields Pond as they drill in and drop nets to see what creatures are dwelling in the frigid waters. The cost is $5/individual member of Maine Audubon, $7/individual nonmember, $10/member family and $14/nonmember family.
Kindergarten through second grade will run from 9-11 a.m. and third through fifth grade from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $10/child for members of Maine Audubon and $14/child for nonmembers. Advanced registration required. Please call 989-2591 for more information and to register.
