BANGOR – When working in pre-1978 homes and child occupied facilities, federal law requires that contractors, painters and landlords be a ‘Certified Renovator’. To become a ‘Certified Renovator,’ an individual must take a RRP (Renovations, Repair &Painting) day long class from an accredited training provider.
Penquis and Healthy Maine Partnerships will host several classes led by Peter Crockett, an accredited training provider from the Maine Labor Group on Health. This course will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. November 15, 16, and 17, January 10 and 11, and April 4 and 5. The course will also be offered in Millinocket on January 12.
The cost of the course is $95. A reduced fee of $25 is offered to landlords on a first come first serve basis. All attendees must register for this course.
