$1000 Grant Available to Non-profit Organization that Serves Youth

BAILEYVILLE – The Jobs for Maine’s Graduates (JMG) students at Woodland Jr./Sr. High School have been studying philanthropy and have available a $1000 grant to donate to a non-profit organization that serves youth. The Jumpstart Our Youth Program (JOY) is a philanthropy project sponsored by the Unity Foundation to “plant financial seeds” by awarding grants to nonprofits that help kids in the Washington County area. These financial seeds will help grow a community of caring citizens!

If you are the leader of a non-profit organization that assists youth, please consider applying for the grant. All applications must be submitted through the JOY website by Friday, February 4, 2011. A meeting with finalist may be required.

How to Apply

1. Access the Internet and visit the JOY website at www.jumpstartouryouth.org.

2. Scroll down to lower right hand side and click on “JMG/JOY Grant Application.”

3. Log in using the JOY ID and password provided
JOY ID=joyapply Password=JumpJoy2011 (note capital Js)

4. Complete application and click submit. – select Woodland Jr./Sr. High School as the JMG site.
