BANGOR ‚Äď Beth Churchill of Bangor,¬† Maine is among the latest recipients of $1,000 Tim Hortons Scholarships, awarded for her commitment to giving back to the community. Beth will be presented with her scholarship at the Tim Hortons restaurant located 594 Broadway Street at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 11th.
The Tim Hortons Scholarship Program is designed to recognize store employees (as well as their children or grandchildren), who believe in giving back to their community through volunteer work and have plans to pursue post-secondary education. Entering its sixth year, the successful program has already helped over 1,000 students across the United States and Canada with over $1 million awarded so far in scholarships. This year another $220,000 will be distributed among 220 deserving students.

Beth loves writing and looks forward to starting her Sophomore year this fall at the New England School of Communications where she studies Marketing Communications. Beth began working at Tim Hortons in her first year of school and celebrated her scholarship with an apple juice toast at the restaurant with her fellow team members. She aspires to make a difference in the world and hopes to carry the skills she aquires at college to a position with a non-profit organization.
