Midcoast’s hidden jewel:Free Clothing Closet

Rockland -

ROCKLAND, Maine — The King’s Closet has been open now for more than a year. We have served over 100 families in need. What is the King’s Closet? It is completely free clothing available to anyone in need of a “hand up”. There is no obligation and we are constantly receiving gently used clothing from the overflow of local thrift stores and donations from our church body. We are located at Grace Bible Fellowship , off Old County Road in Rockland. Our aim is simply to help people in these tough economic times.
The King’s Closet was featured on Channel 6 and 2 news on July 6th and can still be found at the WCSH website. We are open the second Saturday in August from 9-11am , after church on Sundays, or by appointment. Call 596-7117 for more information.
We are pleased to announce that the King’s Closet will be open every Saturday from 9-11am , following Labor Day weekend. Please come and tell a friend, the King’s Closet would love to help you get the clothing you need.
