LOCAL SINGER WINS 2011 BEST ALBUM FOR INFANTS AWARD

Belfast -

BELFAST, Maine — There is a wide selection of lullaby music available from big corporations like Disney and well known artists like Jewel. But according to the Kid’s Music Awards, the best lullaby CD in 2011 was made right here in Maine.

Local healing musician, Amy Robbins-Wilson of Belfast, just received word that her CD, Lullaby and Goodnight – 33 Lullabies for Babies, has been recognized as the 2011 Best Album for Infants by Kid’s Music Awards.

In publishing the result on their blog, Kid’s Music Awards said, “Do you remember when your mother would sing to you at bedtime? She didn’t need a guitar, a piano or a full orchestra to sing you into dreamland. If you never had that experience, this is exactly what Amy Robbins-Wilson has to offer you and your children.”

“This award has special meaning for me because it is based solely on the quality of the music” says Robbins-Wilson. “The CD also has a link to a video about the importance of music in early childhood and a downloadable lyrics book to support parents and caregivers in singing along.”

The music is truly “Made in Maine” as it was recorded and produced by Mark Francis at My Thrill Studio in Winterport.

This CD is Robbins-Wilson’s second collection of lullaby music. Her first was an award winner as well; earning a Mom’s Choice Award. Both are available from Amazon.

Robbins-Wilson is an award winning and best selling lullaby singer and is the Lullaby Lady at Lullaby-Link.com, a site that supports parents in singing to their young children. She’s also an award winning author and the creator of Mommy Jingles, an online video program supporting musical parenting. More information is available at www.amyrobbinswilson.com.

Kids Music Awards’ mission is to find, review and promote great kids’ music. Every song and album is reviewed by people who use or listen to kids’ music every day. When music is reviewed by teachers, parents, librarians and children, the artist’s name, label and packaging are never part of the judging process.
