CAMDEN – You’re invited to join in the excitement of a new business called Kinetic Energy Alive! Creator Kea Tesseyman is pleased to bring you a brand new system for delivering quality and wholesome dance lessons to all! Since its conception, Kinetic Energy Alive was designed to bring you affordable and fun classes that are sure to keep you moving throughout the busy year.
Kea Tesseyman is a resident of Camden and has been teaching dance for the past 8 years. She has grown into the community with her love of working with dancers and her positive affirmation that a healthy vibe and attitude can produce the best, most creative work of art. With her long history of instructing in studios, presenting at schools, volunteer work and putting on performances at multiple venues Kea has decided to apply her experience towards a long lasting goal of creating an entity of dance that will feed the youth of this community for years to come. By instilling morals, ethics and virtues into her students, she hopes the community will see that dance is more than a show or an extra-curricular activity.
Kinetic Energy Alive is a place for students, children or adults, to build their self esteem, learn to respect themselves and one another, and grow to be strong and confident individuals who no doubt will be going out into the world in their own time. After many years of training in Boston with the legends who have created old school hip hop, Kea is determined to change the negative image hip hop has by teaching the culture and history of the dance style. Along with other formats and genres, Kinetic Energy Alive offers more than just a class to dance in. It’s a place to be yourself and truly embody the freedom of dance!
K.E.A. offers introductory lessons, basic technique, dance conditioning, beginner breaking, old school hip hop, popping, locking, lyrical and performance training, and advanced choreography.
Lessons will be held at the MidCoast Recreation Center off of Route 90 in Rockport, Maine and Swing and Sway Dancing on Maverick Street, Route 17 in Rockland, Maine.
