David Green, outgoing president, and Lin Lufkin, Charles F. Bragg ll Leadership Award recipient.
BANGOR, Maine – The Rotary Club of Bangor recognized long-time member Lin Lufkin for significant contributions to Rotary during his years of service and presented him with the Charles F. Bragg II, Rotary Club of Bangor Leadership Award, the club‚Äôs highest honor, at a regular Tuesday meeting on June 28.
Lufkin, known for his distinguished military career and his years as a civil engineer with both Cianbro and Nickerson & O’Day, has been a Rotarian since 1996. He served as president of the club from 2001 to 2002 and has been a Paul Harris Fellow since the late 1990s.
The Bragg award was established in 2010 by the board of directors to honor Charlie Bragg, an outstanding community leader who joined Rotary in 1946 and remained a member until his death on June 12, 2007. The award recognizes ‚Äúcontinuous and exemplary leadership and service to the club and the community it serves,‚ÄĚ explained outgoing president David Green.
