SEARSPORT – Shop for fine handmade gifts at the Finer Things Invitational Craft Show and Sale at Penobscot Marine Museum, Oct. 1-24. Admission to the show is free, and sales will benefit the museum and the craft artists alike.
Finer Things will feature pottery, jewelry, glass, book arts, fiber arts, wrought iron and more. Participating artisans will include: Laurie Adams, Bland Banwell, Deborah Bergman, Kathleen Colton, Diane Courant, Janelle Delicata, Asha Fenn, Faith Garrold, David Jacobson, Jeffrey Jelenfy, Cynthia McGuirl, Chris McLarty, Willy Reddick, Betty Schopmeyer, Debra Thuss and Geoffrey Warner.
Finer Things Craft Show and Sale will be open in the museumâ€™s Admission Center during regular museum hours from 10 a.m. to 5p.m.Â Monday â€“ Saturday and and noon to 5 p.m.Â Sunday.
Penobscot Marine Museum is Maine’s oldest maritime museum and home to the state’s largest display of historic boats and outstanding collections of marine art and artifacts, ship models and historic photography. Its campus â€“ including four ship captainsâ€™ homes, two boat houses, a town hall, a carriage house and other buildings â€“ recreates a bustling coastal village during the Age of Sail. Activities and exhibits for children and year-round adult programs make it a special place for family visits and history enthusiasts. Admission is free for Searsport residents.
